Jackie Howard - Organist
Jackie was chorister at St Aidans from 1973 to 2000, and then Christ Church from 2000 to the present day. She began playing the organ in 1977, becoming organist at St Paul’s URC, where she stayed until 1997. She studied under Joe Levett until 1984, attaining grade 8 organ in 1983. On leaving school she continued her studies with Paul Hale and Dr Robert Ashfield. She was organist and choir mistress at St Mark’s, Rosherville, during 1985, and in 1986 began playing adhoc at Christ Church. Since 1996 she has been playing there regularly, 2 Sundays a month.
Other musical activities include Gravesham choral member, and later committee member from 1978 to 1984; member of Marlowe singers from 1985 to 1992; member and one time secretary of KCOA since 1985, and singing study under Jane Jones from 1996 to 1998, finally attaining grade 8.
