About us
Our pre-school takes children from the age of 2 ½ - 5 years.
We employ 5 highly qualified members of staff and also employ 2 members of staff currently undertaking their NVQ training.
We are registered for 26 children per session.
We maintain a high ratio of adults to children – one adult to five children at each session. We also actively encourage parent and grandparents to come and help us during the morning.
In 2006 we gained an excellent Ofsted report. To read the Ofsted report please click on the link www.ofsted.gov.uk
Each child is designated a member of staff as a key person.
The key person has a special responsibility for working with a small number of children, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for. The key person will liaise closely with parents in supporting their child and helping them to reach their full potential.
We also have a buddy system so that if a key person is not at pre-school during the session then a designated person will take their place.
Each child works at his/her own rate of development. With our experience we are able to work closely with outside professionals across a range of special educational needs.
If at any time you wish to discuss any special needs of your child you may talk to either your child’s key person or the manager/deputy supervisor.
Parents play an important role in supporting their child during their time at Christ Church. Parents are children’s first and most enduring educators. When parents and practitioners work closely together during their early years the results have a positive impact on children’s development and learning.
