Rainbow
This Lent we are thinking about God's promises.
We started on Sunday 1st March with the story of Noah and the flood and we thought about how God gave a rainbow as a sign of his promise to the world.
Our red arc has pictures of mountains, lakes and seas on it to remind us of the world.
We are also learning a new song week by week:
”Rise and shine and give God the glory...”

Next we will be adding the orange arc and thinking about God's promise to the people of the world.
On March 15th we look at living the covenant by keeping God's rules as we put rules on the yellow arc.
On Mothering Sunday we shall be in church but hopefully we shall be able to colour the green arc on our rainbow. We shall also put some flowers on to remind us that God gave us Mothers to help us keep his rules.
For the blue arc on 29th March we shall add hearts to remind us that we should love one another as God loves us.
Palm Sunday will see us colour the indigo arc and add palm leaves and smiling faces as we hear the story of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey.
We finish on Easter Sunday with the violet arc and shall be adding Easter symbols such as eggs, new chicks and lambs, pebbles to remind us the stone was rolled away, flowers and maybe candles as we think of Jesus alive again.
